“I love my dressing room,” Montego Glover says of her baby-blue backstage space at Broadway’s Shubert Theatre, where the Tony nominee is starring as singer Felicia Farrell in Memphis. “The color on the walls is called ‘Belle,’ and I consider Felicia a Memphis belle," she adds with a laugh. "It’s a cool, calm place filled with things that mean a lot to me.” After a matinee performance of her hit musical, Glover invited Broadway.com to take a look at her five favorite dressing room keepsakes—including one that has special meaning to us, too!

“This is a medallion from the creators of Memphis, Joe DiPietro and David Bryan. Every single person in our cast and crew got one of these medallions on opening night, with the title, the name of the theater and the day we opened.”
“This is a black-and-white photo taken by a lovely, awesome Broadway.com photographer named Jenny. It is my favorite photograph taken of me through this entire project—it reminds me who and what Felicia Farrell can be, and when I lose my way, I look at that photo.”
“I love my double-wrapped antique bracelet, which was commissioned for me by George W. George, creator of the concept for Memphis. His daughter is a jewelry designer, and he told her, ‘It must be red, and it must be covered with charms that have to do with Montego.’ It’s one of a kind.”
“My Tony Award nomination certificate, which was given to us at the Tony nominees' luncheon, is a beautiful symbol of what it means to be recognized by your community. And you hope that a trophy follows! It’s really, really lovely to have, and it means a lot.”
“This is a photograph of the intersection of Main and Beale Streets in Memphis, Tennessee. It was given to me by a member of the cast, and it’s in a frame from my very best friend in the whole world. This is the heart of Memphis, where rock-and-roll meets blues!”
